The Stevie Wonder Anthology

The Stevie Wonder Anthology
Description
"Slightly misleading" according to Jeremy. This book is a wonderful resource, but not necessarily for accurately portraying the music. The piano part listed is an embellished chord melody, which works great if you want to play the song without vocals, but which isn't what Stevie is playing on keys. I haven't gone through everything (obviously! There's 75 tunes!), but I know "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" is in the key of C where Stevie plays it in B and that the intro is not quite right on. I can only imagine it is the same for other tunes. That said, as far as I can tell, they have the right chord changes and that's something that has. Not complete at all, but interesting David This volume is one I bought and I am very glad I did, although I bought the set with Roman numerals, too, to make up the rest of the music I might have chosen. The good songs are really good, and others are not as good, even worse. There are some abrupt resolutions and modulations in the music, but I wonder whether it might sound different with a live performance. I am not sure. To buy this volume without the set with Roman Numerals might be a mistake (assuming that one thought it was a complete anthology).. "Three Stars" according to Timothy W. Griggs. Dumbed down and transposed on a lot of the songs. Ok product. Arrived quickly.
