I wish him and his family well wherever they may be Jennings understated narrative lends credence to a wrenching, hard-to-believe story. I once knew Jennings personally and held Doggie in my arms when I introduced him to a class of my 5th graders in Chappaqua, NY some years back. Sorry to say I've lost touch with him. But his impact, personally, professionally, and emotionally on me and my students shall NEVER be forgotten. Especially on Rosey. I wish him and his family well wherever they may be, and in whatever form the fates have decreed.. Jonathan said Wrong Cover Art, But Still Happy. My only gripe is that the cover art is not what they are advertising here. The cover I received has the blocky title text. Other than that, shipped fast, in good condition. I'm happy.. "A Strong little boy." according to UQ. Heartbreaking story of a little boy that just wanted to be loved. All the things this child went through seem impossible for him to still be so sweet and charming. He has a heart of gold and compassion for those that are not so nice to him. His Mother sadly just didn't have what it took to support one more child. I would love to meet him as an adult. I'm sure "Doggy" Is still around. I loved the story, so touching. A child should always know love and he is loved.
