$$ well spent especially for the WWII historian who has everything this was a gift for my husband who loved it!!! and he's got pretty much every WWII item imaginable. he particularly enjoyed the facts presented in this book as well as the photos. i couldnt be happier as he's a hard person to shop for and this was a major win in his book- yay! i also bought one for my father-in-law. i can't wait to see his reaction too!. rocky said Great photos of a very bad war!. The photography was great (some of the reporters did not make it home.). I was just a young boy during the war, but I remember it like it was yesterday ). I remember watching news reports in the theaters. I remember very vividly the day President Roosevelt died (my Mother cried a lot when she heard the news ,then of course I cried). And at the top of the book it says "Be an instant expert!" .wish I would've seen that before I ordered it. Otherwise it's a decent book, nothing that my dad hasn't seen before though.
