This information needs to be known to EVERY American because this is American History like it or not. Barry C. I read this book and enjoyed it. Previously I I've heard references to the Willie Lynch letter and have had the opportunity to read it myself. It didn't hold my attention or get absorbed as the information was a lot to take in. This book fixed that issue for me. The book divide the letter into sections and explained each portion in context which was extremely helpful for my comprehension. Discussing the dynamics of the African American family and relationships of the father mother son and daughter was a shining light on why relationships are the way that they are in so many instances.
