It has good character development of the main figures in the story. I liked the amount of detail to support the premise of the story and develop the action. The story flowed well.I liked that Hilary was a fairly strong character. She knows what she wants and how to take care of herself but it is also her weakness.There were some m. WONDERFUL, TYPICAL KOONTZ!!! I did NOT think I was going to like this book! In fact, after I started it I threw it aside, and wasn't going to read it at all. I thought it was going to be a scarey, stalker type story (which I HATE). I finally picked it up about 7 months later when I got really desperate!!! (No Koontz books left to read, and couldn't order any more for over a week!!!) It started getting really good only about 3 pages where I had left off! Needless to say, it was NOT your normal s
