It is also a very important book as doctors often issue a diagnosis of Alzheimer's, when in fact it may be something quite different and curable. Unlike Alzheimer's when diagnosed early, Hydrocephalus is treatable with a good chance of recovery.. I did not care about the gift, the cake, balloons, or money in a card. Who the Hell Are You? Alzheimer's the Wrong Diagnosis, is the true story of my mother's battle with Hydrocephalus. I just wanted to hear "Happy Birthday, my darling," from my mother. Initially diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, it was only when her condition worsened and we sought a second opinion, that the true extent of her illness was revealed
