Suspenseful to the end. Since I am not a Romance-Genre fan, I was pleasantly surprised that the suspense and mystery were much more a focus than the romance. Other reviewers called it cheesy, and I disagree because I know cheesy and I quit as soon as that becomes evident. This book had plenty of tension and twisty surprises. I agree that the resolution was drawn out just a bit too long.As a lifelong easterner, I enjoyed reading about the characteristics & culture of the UP of Michigan. And the names!What pe. "but I feel like I was introduced to every single one in the" according to DL Kamstra. Characters: Right away when reading this book I was overwhelmed with the number of characters in this story. There were a few who turned out to be quite important later, but I feel like I was introduced to every single one in the first few pages. It made it hard to get into and I found myself flipping to the synopsis to remind myself who the main character was. However, once I moved into the story quite aways and I could clearly remember who was who, I loved getting to know Bree. She. An Excellent Story Colleen Coble's "Without A Trace: The Rock Harbor Series" was a heart rending; heart warming tale of a young mother & wife's tragic loss. This 29 year old woman & her dog, Samson are a heroic search & rescue team in the upper peninsula territory and together live in a restored lighthouse.
